Chingay Parade Singapore

Chingay Parade Singapore is a two-day colorful street parade with a great carnival. The event is the largest of its kind in Asia and takes place every January or February. Around 8000 performers from all over the world enchant their audience. The Chingay Night Fiesta takes place on Sunday night.

Thaipusam festival of pain

Thaipusam is one of the most spectacular Hindu festivals in the world. The faithful pierce their cheeks and tongues with skewers on which plump limes hang. Penitents carry, accompanied by religious music, colorfully decorated steel structures (Kavadis), which are attached to their bodies with hooks and spears. The 5 km long procession leads from Serangoon Road to Tank Road.
