3 different helmets with a very aggressive style for a rebellious, combatant image, available in our market.
Increasingly are the options in buying a helmet. After defining the type of intended use(yes, because wearing a sport helmet on a city motorcycle in the city center is just as inappropriate as wearing an open helmet-Jet-on the racetrack), any motorcyclist tends to choose a particular style of helmet That matches your image and the type of bike you use.
Until recently, options other than the classic”Easy Rider” helmets or full-length competition helmets were scarce, and usually expensive.
This time we bring you three options available in our market that are intended for urban use, and that can be used on various types of motorcycles.
The Shark Drak(Raw), Caberg Ghost and Scorpion Exo Combat stand out as an open helmet mix, with full helmet though, and it’s the important note : none of them is an integral helmet!
According to ElwoodDeals, they are basically open helmets(Jet) that include a rigid face mask and integrated goggles, making them very effective in protecting the face, not in case of impact, but rather in the protection of small stones, sands, insects and raindrops .
All feature quick-release fasteners(micrometric), all allow the removal of the interiors for washing
The first is well known in the market, Shark Raw, which now sees its denomination changed to Shark Drak, and which we recently presented to you in more detail( click here to see).
It allows the opening of the front, turning the glasses and the facial protection to the top of the shell, through an elastic system. The front can also be completely removed. The ventilation system has easy access and a very robust appearance.
Of the 3 helmets featured here is the one that offers the best level of finishes, but it is also the”biggest” of all.
The second is Caberg Ghost, also presented in detail in these pages as you can see by clicking here , and that being the only one that offers an outer shell made of composite material, there is also a carbon fiber version, it seems like the most”Small” and lightweight of these 3 models.
Its front opening system is similar to the Shark Drak, turning to the top of the shell, but through rigid supports that provide greater ease of operation and probably longer durability. The face shield can be removed, but the sun visor does not.
Ghost does not have any ventilation system.
The third helmet, and without the order to give any importance, is the Scorpion Exo Combat, which arrived a few weeks ago to the market after having also been the target of our attention( click here to see more detailed characteristics), and seems to be To be a success, mainly because of its very aggressive appearance.
Slightly different in concept, it does not have a mask, but rather a fully removable bottle/mask and a sun visor retractable between the caps.
One draws attention to the fact that in America a very similar version of this helmet is available, which is known as Covert, but has no European homologation, and shows other features not available on Combat.
Any of these helmets fits perfectly to naked bikes and some custom. The difficult thing is to choose just one!
Special thanks go to the ADVSpirit Old School Family store in Costa da Caparica that made the helmets available for this photo shoot.
